Right now, I have caught whatever it is that is decimating our office. I work in an “open” office space. Less open than some but more than I’d like. What this means is that I sit in a cubicle that is roughly 6′ x 7′ with 4′ high “walls” and no door. This means that for germs to get to me, it’s a little like this.
That being the case, my dinner last night consisted of Zicam and Alka-Seltzer.
But I did have a nice dinner on February 5th.
My friend Adam and I went to Minneapolis for the IMS Motorcycle Show. From homebase in Madison to Minneapolis is about a 5 hour drive. We left around 1:00 so by the time we got there and got checked in, it was dinner time.
Boys being boys, we did a little pre-gaming in the hotel room.
Then decided to go out to dinner. There’s a really nice place just down the road from our hotel called Brit’s Pub. We took a little walk from the hotel to the bar.
Being a british place, they had quite a selection of delicious beers. But better than that, they had scotch eggs.
If you’ve never had a scotch egg, please, try one out. If you don’t know what a scotch egg is, it’s a hard boiled egg that is wrapped in sausage, breaded and then deep fried. It’s served with a spicy mustard and 100% delicious.
It was a fantastic start to a fun weekend.
